Biogas generator
Small biogas generators are power generation systems that utilize biogas to generate electricity, with power ranging from 3 kW to 1000 kW. These systems are primarily used to process biogas produced in livestock farms, landfills, food factories, pharmaceutical factories, and sewage treatment plants, converting it into electrical energy.
Their working principle involves first pre-treating the biogas through desulfurization and pressure stabilization before supplying it to a gas-fired generator set. This generator set is connected to a biogas internal combustion engine to produce electricity. A complete biogas power generation system typically includes a biogas desulfurization and pressure stabilization device, a gas engine, a generator, and a control system. Biogas power generation is characterized by its wide availability of raw materials and low pollution levels.
Applications include livestock farms such as pig farms and duck farms, landfills, places that generate organic waste such as alcohol plants, citric acid plants, paper mills, food factories, pharmaceutical factories, and wastewater treatment plants, as well as distributed energy projects in rural communities.
